Create a philosophy regarding public art for Snohomish County.
Inventory and maintain the County Art Collection.
Review By-laws.
Continue to assess appropriate membership,
including alternates for commission members and
make any related recommendations.
Complete 2006 programs.
Submit a 2007 budget proposal.
Submit periodic program updates
to the County Executive and County Council.
Revise and update the Snohomish County Arts Commission brochure and distribute it to County art organizations and artists.
Create and execute a signature County event
in spring of 2007 to provide opportunities for artists and
arts organizations to interact directly with the community.
Update and expand the Arts Commission web page with links
to other arts organizations and artists.
Establish relationships and communicate with
and through existing existing organizations.
Expand knowledge of artists and art organizations
in our community.
Invite arts groups to Commission meetings and send representatives to their meetings.
Further develop the financial case for art and public art.
Develop strategies for fundraising
and assess tax deductible strategies for donors.
Publicize the tax deductible status of the
Snohomish County Arts Fund.
Develop relationships with potential donors.
Revise and update the promotional brochure
and distribute it to the community.
Create and execute a signature community event
in spring of 2007 to provide an opportunity
for artists and arts organizations
to interact directly with the community.
Expand mailing lists through web site and data capture.
The Arts Commission will continue to take an active role in identifying art and placement in future County buildings
and on County related projects.
