10th Annual Youth Writing Contest—For high school and middle school students who attend a school within the Edmonds School District boundaries or who have an Edmonds home address. Cash awards will be given with separate judging and prizes for High School and Middle School. Winners will also receive a ticket to the 2008 Write on the Sound Writers’ Conference Keynote Lecture on October 4. Awards are made in consideration of a one-time right to publish the winning entries for educational purposes.

Mukilteo Arts Guild
New Writers Group—Literary salon for writers seeking support, collaboration and an honest community of literary friends. Group is open to writers from all genres. Meets the last Thursday of the month from 7 to 8:30 pm. Call for details and date.
